Hey there,
Like your alien green template however I have a project that is in need of some nice colours and template tweaks.
The current website template is:
http://www.richardjamesinternational.co.uk
Images are throughout the site (links has a few that are useful) (ask for more, I have one of the logo transparent and a few misc ones)
Need a nice company/business blue template.
We have alot of links but we're considering changing them to like "Information","Services","Contact Us" etc.
The theme has to be blue and incorporate the company logo and the ISO image (ISO image only has to be on the front page, could be in the body of the template).
Things they liked:
http://fullahead.org/work/lazydays/ (but blue, they liked the colour contrasts)
http://www.opensourcetemplates.org/templates/preview.php?template_id=1054723136
Specs:
Template, don't mind if its just a psd you give me.
800*600 compatiable
CSS + images
No flash :p
Price:
< $100 (There cheap skates, maybe could get em to pay more, we'll see how much they love it)
Would be ideal to post a mock, then we can help advise changes.

Hello
I have a nice blue template that I made in the past for some company, but they didn't take it in the end. Here is how it looks like.
Now, if you think this template would be ok to them, then we already got something, but if not, I will start to make something based on you description. _______________ « Last edit by The-Error on Tue Jan 15, 2008 6:10 pm. »

I think, the company wants a CSS based design again. Alot of our users are based overseas on remote islands with slow internet connections. (alot of images = unhappy visitors)
Could you perhaps suggest a colour palette suitable for a shipping company site.
There are some nice colour ideas at http://www.colr.org/ but I have no sense of clashing colours or contrast.
A image with colours that would be suitable for background / text boxes / font colours.
The template above is nice, I will forward it on and see what they say but I am thinking just helping me with the colours is best. I am good at PHP / HTML / CSS so the programming is ok
BTW i'll send you say $20 when we have a good palette?

Color palette is for a different template, right?
In order to choose a color palette, you need to choose a main color first, depending on the main color, you can then match other colors that would go with it...
But here ... If you want the palettes:

This is also nice blue combination:
You can use variations of blue color, as long as you don't go to dark. Try a combination of white and yellow/orange (as a gradient) in the header to make a contrast. Like here http://fullahead.org/work/lazydays/
Use a white or very light blue background for the text field and dark blue or dark gray for the color of the text

Try to change the black separator into light blue, and the menu item when selected, also in blue.
The same light blue color that you use for that, you can also use to draw 1px border around News Box.
You may also try a smaller font size for everything. _______________

Another version, think the 1px borders on the boxes on left work, not exactly sure on the shade of light blue to use.
But found a nice palette at colr.org and used a blue from it.
Ps. did u get the $10 ok? « Last edit by midnightray on Wed Jan 16, 2008 8:49 pm. »

Yes, was thinking the blue on the separator was a bit bright.
Will work some more on it tomorrow. Was thinking of having a menu like:
http://www.simplyeff.com/
Will need to decide some colours for it.

Just about finished, had to rewrite the layout css and html css mostly to get a menu that works in common browsers. Tested it in IE7, FF2, Opera 9, Safari.
